Membership Supported by Leadership

An amendment clarifying that the role of the Leader is to direct the Party towards the goals of the Membership and with the consent of Caucus.

Rationale

Our success as a Party will be enhanced when the Leader works in collaboration with Party Members and Caucus.

Current

22.1 There shall be a Leader of the Party who shall, subject to this Constitution, be responsible for the overall direction of the Party.

Motion

The LFLA PC Ontario Association moves that Article 22.1 be amended to read: 22.1 There shall be a Leader of the Party who shall, subject to this Constitution, be responsible for directing the Party towards the goals and objectives of the Party Membership and with the consent of Caucus.
